Middendorp is an agricultural company actively committed to sustainability and the optimization of its own energy consumption. By implementing a modular storage system, flexibility is created to efficiently manage both on-site consumption and external energy trading.
Challenge | Middendorp aims to further decarbonize its energy consumption while at the same time realizing economic benefits through the smart use of locally generated solar power.
Application | By installing a battery storage system, the self-generated solar energy is utilized to the fullest extent. Surpluses are deployed for energy trading, while shortages are smartly balanced. An EMS (Energy Management System) ensures optimal steering towards maximizing self-consumption of solar power, reducing costs, and increasing revenues from flexibility services.
System | 2x Gotion 100 kW / 211 kWh LFP batteries (0.5C)
